The HealthEquity Intern program aims to provide accomplished students the opportunity to develop their skills while supporting the Company's strategic objectives. Candidates are able to gain real-world experience applying their classroom learnings in a dynamic business environment. They receive coaching and mentoring from an experienced people leader who directs their work and helps ensure their success. HealthEquity interns get the opportunity to sit down with HealthEquity leadership and guest speakers. This speaker series includes our CEO Scott Cutler, our Founder Steve Neeleman, and leaders with expertise in finance, wellbeing, and recruiting.

  • Work with the Security Engineering team to protect the organization and improve business operations.
  • Focus on Cyber Defense Engineering and support business communication regarding security threats and mitigation actions.
  • Participate in various projects related to endpoint protection and cloud architecture.
  • Support the adoption of best practices and alignment to security frameworks.
  • Organize daily schedules of events and project updates, tracking work and status notes/action items.
  • Focus on automated integration of key security technology metrics and development of automation and workflow simplification.
  • Current enrollment in a bachelor's and master's degree program.
  • Proficient with Jupyter Notebooks, Python, Powershell, etc.
  • Understanding of core cybersecurity principles.
  • Understanding of core/general engineering principles.
  • Personal development projects/contributions to open-source.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work in a diverse and fluid environment.
  • Proficient working with cross-functional teams (Preferred).
  • Experience in computer engineering, electrical engineering, data science, mathematics, materials science and engineering, and/or computer science.
  • Remote intern opportunity.
  • Rate of pay is $22-$24 per hour.
  • Eligible to receive an internet stipend.
