About The Position

The Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology (MCP) group at Alkermes is seeking a highly motivated summer intern to join a paid 12-week internship program. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary group, receiving close mentorship and collaborating with scientists in medicinal chemistry, modeling and informatics, and biology, to support early-stage drug discovery programs. You will assist in developing and executing cell-based assays to characterize small molecule compounds as potential therapies for central nervous system (CNS) diseases. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an industrial R&D environment, learn experimental design and data analysis, and build a foundation for your future career. This intern role will be onsite in our Waltham, MA location.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Strong interest in molecular and cellular pharmacology.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous laboratory experience or coursework in pharmacology or related fields.
• Familiarity with experimental design and data analysis.
