Intermediate Cloud Platform Engineer

We are seeking an intermediate Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team and contribute to building a self-service multi-cloud infrastructure platform. This role involves collaborating with internal customers to understand their platform needs, growing expertise in key platform technology areas, and automating processes. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science or Engineering, along with experience in cloud development, infrastructure as code, and agile development practices. Additionally, familiarity with containerization, Kubernetes, and code deployment technologies is desired.

• Collaborate closely with internal customers to understand their platform needs
• Grow expertise in key platform technology areas such as orchestration, observability, GitOps, networking, Kubernetes, authentication, authorization, resource isolation, security, and compliance
• Build new platform capabilities in a data-driven way, to improve platform reliability, scale, and resilience while delivering new platform behavior
• Automate tasks and processes
• Share knowledge of industry best practices and contribute to a strong engineering culture
• Stay current with technology trends and use innovative and critical thinking to develop new and innovative practices

• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent related disciplines
• 4 years of engineering experience in a cloud development team, developing infrastructure as code
• Experience with one or more public cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS in production
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and scripting languages
• Experience with infrastructure as code, especially Terraform and Ansible
• Experience with agile development practices
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes
• Experience with code deployment technologies and GitOps
• Familiarity with secrets management
• Able to clearly articulate technical strategies and recommendations to peers, for both functional and non-functional requirements
