About The Position

The Instructor for Professional Certificate Programs in Project Management at Kennesaw State University is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and ensuring student mastery of project management principles. This part-time role involves teaching, assessing student performance, and providing feedback while adhering to departmental guidelines and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Current PMP Certification through PMI
  • Five (5) years Project Management experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Professional experience leading projects

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality and technically relevant instruction of course curriculum
  • Teaches students learning strategies
  • Conducts teaching and instructional activities using educational equipment, manipulatives, props, and other learning aids
  • Provides continual feedback and various methods of assessment measurement by ensuring student mastery of the learning outcomes
  • Assesses and records grading for all homework assignments, quizzes, and tests
  • Completes paperwork associated with classroom and project management
  • Participates in marketing of courses to prospective students during biannual Open House events
  • Assists with course and/or program evaluation and continuous improvement
  • Maintains acceptable program quality and satisfaction scores
  • Keeps Program Manager informed of any curriculum or student code of conduct issues
  • Records attendance in learning management system
