About The Position

The Instructor for After School Programs at Brains and Motion Education (BAM!) is responsible for leading and inspiring students in various STEM and sports-related activities. This part-time role focuses on fostering creativity, teamwork, and personal growth among students aged 4 to 18, while implementing engaging programs that include coding, robotics, and sports. The position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting, preparing the next generation of leaders and innovators.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in LEGOs, Robotics, Coding, Cheer, Soccer, or Yoga.
• A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring, with coaching/teaching experience encouraged.
• Excellent class management skills and the ability to work effectively with students in grades K-8.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license or State ID.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide proof of negative TB testing.
• Willingness to undergo additional training as required.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 20-50 lbs. occasionally.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in teaching or mentoring youth in a classroom or sports setting.
• Knowledge of additional subjects or activities related to STEAM or sports.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire students in a variety of STEM and Sports-related activities.
• Teach the fundamentals of various activities, ensuring each child can progress at their own pace.
• Foster a positive and collaborative environment, instilling valuable lessons in teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Implement BAM! STEAM/Sports Programs, including Python & Scratch Coding, Robotics, LEGO Robotics, and various sports activities.
