About The Position

The Anaheim Elementary School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant for Early Childhood Education (ECE). The position requires a high school graduation or equivalent, along with an AA degree or at least 48 semester units, or passing an assessment test. Candidates must have at least one year of experience working with children in an instructional capacity. The role involves managing student behavior, guiding students towards acceptable social behavior, and developing effective relationships with children. The position also requires valid certifications in Child Development Associate Teacher Permit, First Aid, and CPR.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• AA degree or at least 48 semester units or pass an assessment test.
• One year experience working with children in an instructional capacity.
• Valid Child Development Associate Teacher Permit (or higher) issued by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Knowledge of basic concepts used in Early Childhood Education.
• Knowledge of basic child psychology and development.
• Knowledge of appropriate safety precautions and procedures.
