About the position
The Industry Principal - Supply Chain Planning role at Kinaxis is a remote position based in Japan. The job involves being a solution and value engineering expert, using a consultative approach to create technology and process improvements for customers. The role requires understanding industry challenges, connecting them to customer needs, and demonstrating how Kinaxis solutions can address those needs. The Industry Principal will also be responsible for pursuing key opportunities, generating business case analyses, and fostering strong relationships with customers. Strong knowledge of supply chain management and consulting experience are required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Act as pursuit manager on key opportunities, collaborating with sales, pre-sales, and services to position the right solutions to new prospects and existing customers.
- Work closely with pre-sales in the discovery phase to uncover differentiated value drivers.
- Provide key objectives for demonstrations and align with sales/pre-sales on demo flow.
- Generate and present business case analyses to highlight the unique and differentiated value and ROI of Kinaxis solutions.
- Understand key industry challenges and trends, connect them to customers' unique business dynamics, and translate them to appropriate Kinaxis solutions.
- Create industry and customer specific messaging to support sales cycles.
- Understand Kinaxis solutions offerings and competitors' offerings to communicate differentiation and unique value.
- Assess how existing and emerging Kinaxis solutions can support supply chain efficiencies and transformation.
- Develop and foster a strong relationship as a trusted industry and solution expert with customers in areas such as business, finance, and IT.
- Demonstrate strong supply chain and technology domain expertise in areas such as Demand Planning, S&OP, Supply Planning, Supplier Collaboration, Business analytics/Reporting, and Infrastructure Technologies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of consulting and/or pre-sales experience in the area of supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of supply chain fundamentals, industry best practices, and available solutions in the SCM / ERP space
- Ability to articulate the value of supply chain management solutions through compelling presentations
- Experience in developing and presenting concise point of views to convey the value of technology solutions and services
- Consultative sales savvy and ability to interact across all levels of the organization
- Effective public speaking and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams to achieve revenue and customer satisfaction goals
- Graduate degree (MBA or M)
