About The Position

Ivy Tech - Bloomington is seeking an Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) Office Coordinator to support the growth and sustainability of small businesses in Indiana. In this role, you’ll triage new clients, coordinate with business advisors, and assist with key programs like market research, INTAP, and more. The position reports to the Regional Director.

Requirements

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, accounting, sales and marketing or a related field.
  • Any experience working with a small business in key support role or previous work with Ivy Tech/ISBDC advisors and staff.
  • Experience supporting small businesses with administrative skills providing strategic advice and counsel as well as following up with clients in a timely manner.
  • Owning and operating a small business or entrepreneurial venture is also of interest.
  • Experience with the following computer systems: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Use of the Internet, Reference USA, Neoserra, IBIS World and others.
  • Business acumen, relationship development, communication, networker, team-oriented, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, takes initiative, ethical, integrity, honesty and civic-mindedness.

Responsibilities

  • Learn ISBDC services, programs and SOPs, participate in ISBDC onboarding training program.
  • Provide initial triage for new clients and initial clients advising session, enter into our CRM (Neoserra) and coordinate hand off to our team of highly skilled business advisors.
  • Complete ISBDC quality audits to meet ASBDC accrediting guidelines & ISBDC/SBA requirements.
  • Assist with administrative tasks for special programs of ISBDC Network including INTAP as required to support regional and network goals.
  • Assist with market research requests using ISBDC tools and resources for business advisors.
  • Travel throughout the geographic area if required and/or use video conferencing tools to help clients.
  • Represent ISBDC team at meetings, conferences as needed and participate in Network professional development meetings/video conferences as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
