The IBM ACE Integration Architect role involves designing and implementing integration solutions using IBM technologies, specifically IBM MQ, App Connect Enterprise (ACE), and Integration Bus (IIB). The position requires a strong background in developing message flows, configuring adapters, and optimizing performance in both testing and production environments. The architect will work closely with project teams to ensure that integration solutions meet business needs and adhere to best practices in coding and deployment.

  • Provide high quality IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and ACE solution design that addresses business needs based on project requirements.
  • Utilize programming methodologies and adhere to coding standards, procedures, and techniques while contributing to technical code documentation.
  • Support deployment planning, including code deployment, backout readiness, and post-install support.
  • Support versioning of web service components, services, schema maps, etc., and adhere to source code control management best practices during the development process.
  • Identify and implement industry and SOA best practices and standards.
  • Identify applicable IIB design patterns and implement them.
  • Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to design recommendations, incorporating security requirements into design and providing input to information/data flow.
  • Maintain service availability and perform performance tuning, including load balancing and high payload size support.
  • At least 5 years' experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB), ACE, IBM Websphere Message Broker, and IBM Websphere Message Queue (MQ).
  • At least 5 years' experience with Extended Structured Query Language (ESQL) development.
  • At least 5 years' experience with Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Sound understanding of HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON.
  • Sound understanding of synchronous and asynchronous messaging patterns, developing common reusable IIB artifacts.
  • Experience with IBM API Connect and Data Power.
  • Background in .NET and Java programming.
  • Good communication skills and ability to articulate technical ideas well.
  • Quick learner and self-motivated.
  • Hybrid work model with 3 days onsite per week.
