About The Position

The Human Resources Business Partner II at TJ Maxx plays a crucial role in supporting associate and labor relations within the distribution center. This position involves advising associates on company policies, facilitating labor management meetings, ensuring compliance with laws and policies, and providing support for payroll and leave administration. The HR Business Partner is also responsible for training and development initiatives, conflict resolution, and promoting a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience.
  • 2-4 years of HR Business Partner or Labor Relations experience.
  • Working knowledge of HR/labor laws.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information.
  • Prior experience working with a Union is required.
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and coaching experience.
  • Knowledge of HRIS and Payroll Systems, preferably Kronos and Oracle.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts based on business needs.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Must be fully relocatable.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and advise associates on company policies, procedures, and union contract administration.
  • Facilitate labor management meetings and associate engagement events.
  • Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal laws and company policies.
  • Provide disciplinary action approval and support payroll and leave administration.
  • Counsel and recommend resolutions to associate and supervisory issues.
  • Conduct interventions, fact-findings, and resolve conflicts as they arise.
  • Support training and development of supervisors and associates on the floor.
  • Conduct new hire orientations as needed.
  • Deliver and monitor training for Distribution Center Supervisors and non-exempt associates.
  • Consult with coach trainers and supervisors on operational issues.
