About the position
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner at SimplyInsured will play a pivotal role in shaping and maturing the People Operations function. They will partner closely with leaders and employees, providing consultation and guidance on a variety of People Operations needs. The role involves building relationships with the business, advising managers on employee relations matters, maintaining legal compliance, and implementing new HR processes and policies. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in HR, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of managing complex HR projects in a rapidly scaling environment.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with the business and establish rapport as a trusted human resources partner
- Design, develop, and execute strategic initiatives including engagement surveys, performance reviews, talent development activities, etc.
- Advise managers on employee relations matters and conduct objective investigations when required
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management and ensure regulatory compliance
- Recommend, develop, and implement new human resources processes and policies
- Provide guidance on workforce planning, compensation, promotions, etc.
- Manage and build processes for daily activities in human resources such as I9 processing, trainings, data management, and filings
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with employees and management
- Successfully manage complex HR projects and initiatives in a rapidly scaling and remote-first environment
- Working knowledge of HR principles, procedures, and laws/regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in human resources function: HR generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or similar role
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with the employee base and management
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex human resources projects and initiatives in a rapidly scaling and preferably remote-first, multi-state environment
- Working knowledge of human resources principles and procedures as well as an intermediate understanding of the laws and regulations that govern the workforce
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
