HR Generalist - US (Part-Time, Hybrid)

Meru Health is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team in the Bay Area, CA or Denver, CO. The HR Generalist will be responsible for facilitating a seamless employee experience, supporting the onboarding and offboarding process, developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, and ensuring legal compliance. The successful candidate will have previous HR operations experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. • Facilitate a seamless employee experience for the global team
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR needs
• Ensure new hires are equipped with proper tools, technology, and accounts
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure an optimal employee experience
• Support and drive the onboarding and offboarding process
• Develop and execute personnel procedures and policies
• Assist in administering benefits, recruiting efforts, compensation, and employee performance programs
• Suggest new procedures and policies to improve HR department efficiency and employee experience
• Ensure legal compliance with HR regulations and employment laws
• Align with company values and mission
• Collaborate across all levels of the company and with external vendors
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organize and prioritize tasks for maximum impact
• Demonstrate time management skills and multitasking abilities
• Be flexible in switching between administrative, people-oriented, and creative tasks
• Have 2+ years of previous HR operations experience in fast-paced growth environments
• Coordinate onboarding in a start-up/high-growth environment
• Possess a strong knowledge base of HR practices and statutory requirements
• Experience working with a distributed workforce
• Pay attention to detail, especially in executing employment contracts
• Develop and refine onboarding workflows
• Experience with various workforce types and systems/platforms

• Experience coordinating onboarding in a start-up/high-growth environment
• Knowledge of HR practices, processes, and programs, including federal and state statutory requirements
• Experience working with a distributed workforce
• Strong attention to detail, especially in executing employment contracts
• Ability to develop and refine onboarding workflows
• Experience with various workforce types, including W2, 1099, and part-time
• Familiarity with multiple systems and platforms, including Notion, Rippling, Slack, Harvest, Trainual, Loom, Greenhouse, and Google Suite

• Base Compensation: $35K - $40K/year with an estimation of 20-29 hours per week
• Preferred Hybrid Schedule: Be able to come in to office once a week in San Mateo, CA or Denver, CO
