About The Position

The Housekeeper position is a full-time role focused on maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within the community. This includes cleaning residents' rooms, public restrooms, offices, and common areas. The role requires adherence to established housekeeping procedures and safety precautions while performing various cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to communicate in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions according to established procedures.
• Follow safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
• Report hazardous equipment or conditions to management.
• Clean floors through sweeping, dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting.
• Clean carpets by vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Polish furnishings in hallways, stairways, and elevators.
• Clean resident rooms, including vacuuming carpets, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing bathrooms.
• Collect trash from rooms, offices, lounges, and bathrooms daily.
• Clean walls, windows, and baseboards by washing, wiping, and disinfecting.
• Assist in setting up dining and activity rooms as necessary.
• Report needed repairs to maintenance and fill out work order forms.
• Keep housekeeping equipment and storage areas clean and organized.
• Respond to resident needs as requested.
• Launder facility linens as needed.
• Inform supervisor of supply needs.
• Report all accidents/incidents to the supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
• Turn in all found articles to the supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
