About The Position

The Home Healthcare Aide position at New Life Home Care is a part-time role focused on providing essential care services to clients, including the elderly and pediatric patients, who may have disabilities or chronic illnesses. This role specifically requires working weekend shifts, offering a pay range of $14 to $16 per hour. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and enjoys helping others, with responsibilities that include personal care, health monitoring, and companionship.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on patient care experience.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and SLED background check.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification (Preferred)
• 2 years of home care experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide routine personalized care in client homes.
• Monitor the patient's health and maintain up-to-date records of their physical and mental condition.
• Discuss patient progress with the case manager or supervisor and adjust care plans as needed.
• Assist patients with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Help patients with mobility, including getting in and out of bed, the bathroom, and vehicles.
• Perform simple housekeeping tasks such as changing bed linens and tidying rooms.
• Assist with grocery shopping and food preparation.
• Engage patients mentally through conversation and activities.
• Accompany patients to doctor visits and provide transportation.
