About the position
MOMA Therapeutics is seeking a Head of Clinical Development to lead the design and execution of early-stage clinical development strategies for their transformative medicines in oncology. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and leading first-in-human proof-of-concept studies, collaborating with external experts, ensuring scientific integrity, managing risk and safety planning, and building and managing a high-performing clinical development team. The ideal candidate should have a medical degree, board certification in Medical Oncology, and at least 5 years of experience in oncology development within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead and shape protocols for novel therapeutics entering clinical development
- Collaborate with external experts in oncology to drive innovation in clinical development
- Ensure rigor and scientific integrity of clinical programs and protocols
- Identify and escalate issues in a timely manner
- Manage risk management and safety planning and assessment for product
- Stay updated on competitors and clinical developments in relevant therapeutic areas
- Build and manage a high-performing clinical development team
- Support data analysis, reporting, and publishing for clinical trials
- Develop collaborative relationships with research, CMC, and business development stakeholders
- Drive strategy and planning for publications and present research milestones
- Oversee trial-related advisory boards and investigator meetings
- Represent the company at critical regulatory interactions
- Contribute to authorship, review, and approval of key documents
- MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent with training and board certification in Medical Oncology
- 5+ years of experience in oncology development within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
- Strong leadership skills and proven biopharmaceutical industry experience
