Haul Truck Operator

About the position

Kilgore Companies, a division of Summit Materials is looking for a mechanically inclined, safety-oriented Haul Truck Driver to operate Articulated Haul Truck in a Sand and Gravel environment. As a member of your team, the success of this operation is very dependent on your willingness and desire to be a team player. Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance of the haul truck.
• Watch for any potential site or plant problems that are within your view.
• Be alert to site hazards involved with feeding from the load face of material.
• Daily Equipment Inspection.
• Report any safety or mechanical issues to supervisor immediately.
• Turn in equipment inspection log daily.
• Do not run equipment without performing the inspection.
• Fueling of Equipment.
• Operation of equipment.
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Seek to produce material that will provide the most consistent, highest quality end products, under the direction of the foreman and pit supervisor.
• Seek to operate the equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

• MSHA training a plus but not required.
• Previous experience in an aggregate environment preferred.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors.
• Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
