About the position
Kargo is seeking a Hardware Product Manager with at least 5 years of experience in product management, and a history of launching commercially successful, complex hardware products. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and executing the Hardware roadmap to enable rapid growth of the Kargo Platform, creating clear and detailed hardware product specifications, prioritizing features and tasks during the products’ development to ensure on-time launches, and managing collaboration and communication with other teams. The role requires a process-oriented and data-driven mindset, excellent communication skills, and a B.S. in an engineering discipline or related field is desired.
Responsibilities
- You’ll be responsible for building and executing our Hardware roadmap to enable rapid growth of the Kargo Platform.
- Create clear and detailed hardware product specifications for a range of computer vision products used in the logistics industry.
- Prioritize features and tasks during the products’ development to ensure on-time launches.
- Execute a variety of tasks to ensure the product stays on track. These tasks can take many forms as the hardware product manager should be prepared to fill any gap to de-risk the roadmap.
- Manage collaboration and communication with other teams, both internal and external, to ensure teams have what they need and can work efficiently.
- Lead field validation and product launch activities in collaboration with Marketing, Engineering and Customer Success.
- Understand use cases, personas and market requirements and communicate efficiently to the rest of the organization.
- Track, monitor, report, and improve product performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience working in a product management role.
- History of launching commercially successful, complex hardware products.
- Process oriented and data driven mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must be comfortable presenting to customers and internal audiences at all levels.
- B.S. in an engineering discipline or related field desired.
