About The Position

The GS1 Item Compliance Functional Expert (Auditor) position at Mars, Incorporated is responsible for providing operational and analytical support in the Item Compliance Data Synchronization area. This role involves first-level support for Item Compliance and GS1 Global Data Sync Network (GDSN), analysis of functional information, issue resolution, and monitoring of data integrity and compliance. The Analyst will also engage in training, technical analysis, and the delivery of business benefits while ensuring adherence to governance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems/Applications, Data Science, or equivalent experience required.
  • 1 year of experience in Master Data and Customer environments required.
  • 1 year of experience in CPG with a focus on Data, Analytics, Project Management, and related processes required; 5 years preferred.
  • 2 years of experience developing reports using advanced Excel functionality, Power BI, and Power Apps required.
  • Experience in the GS1 Standards Community is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an integral member of the MGS organization supporting Global Standards and the Global Data Synchronization Network community.
  • Perform onsite GS1 Item Compliance Audits, managing cases up to 80lbs.
  • Drive training and accountability for factory and 3rd party Item Compliance audits.
  • Identify Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs) and recommend business process changes to enhance efficiencies.
  • Monitor Smartsheet request portal and support inbox, acting as the first point of contact for troubleshooting item data issues.
  • Work within SAP, DAP, and 1WS to resolve failed transactions in Item Compliance applications.
  • Maintain technical skills on applications like Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, and DAP Reporting.
  • Support cross-functional business teams in improving business processes from various standpoints.
  • Provide first-level support for data governance principles and standards.
  • Manage ongoing Data Synchronization certification and relationships with McLane.
