About The Position

The Grain Operator at ICM, Inc. is responsible for the safe and efficient loading of co-products such as Dry Distiller's Grains (DDG) and Wet Distiller's Grains (WDG). This role involves various tasks including grain bin cleaning, inventory management, operating heavy machinery, and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. The operator will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
• Technical degree/certification preferred.
• Experience in operation of a dry-mill ethanol plant or grain facility preferred.
• Ability to learn and work effectively with plant Distributed Control System (DCS).
• Physical strength to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load co-products (DDG and WDG).
• Operate the computer Distributed Control System (DCS) for co-product loading.
• Maintain accurate records of loading times, load numbers, and inventory.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the DDG load-out area and elevator basement.
• Inspect and clean secondary containment and maintain haul roads.
• Safely operate the articulating front-end loader for loading WDG trucks.
• Scale WDG trucks in and out and complete associated paperwork using GP software.
• Maintain cleanliness in the wet pad and containment areas.
• Perform pre & post load-out truck inspections.
• Sample and retain load-out product streams for quality control.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Communicate with operations personnel regarding co-product inventories.
• Report maintenance and repair needs to the Lead Ethanol Operator.
• Assist in maintaining plant security and general upkeep.
• Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
