About The Position

The Global workplace manager will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and operational management of Watershed’s global office spaces. As our first global workplace hire, you’ll have the opportunity to lead how we run our global facilities, including managing the process to select and launch new offices within your first year at Watershed. The Watershed team works from our hub offices 4 days a week in San Francisco, London and New York with plans to expand to other regions. Because we’re committed to the in-office culture in our hub locations for collaboration and productivity, we’re excited for this role to help us to continue to invest in employee experience.

Requirements

  • Have proven experience in managing the lifecycle of office builds and relocations across diverse geographic locations, working cross-functionally with the People Team, IT, Facilities, Legal, and local leadership teams.
  • Proven experience working in a high-growth startup environment with an in-office culture.
  • Have managed a team of contractors and vendors to run multiple office sites with in-person attendance.
  • Experience managing a facilities budget encompassing multiple offices and global regions.
  • Experience selecting and negotiating with facilities vendors.
  • Are able to travel regularly to our other sites, including international locations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of office managers, vendors and staff in our San Francisco, New York City, London and additional hub offices.
  • Manage our global facilities budget, identifying ongoing opportunities for efficiency while maintaining a high-level of onsite experience and service for the Watershed team.
  • Manage global safety, security and compliance for our offices, including maintaining documentation and training in partnership with our local staff.
  • Lead build outs and expansion for new hub offices as Watershed grows, including site selection and lease negotiation, project management, negotiating and contracting with vendors, working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for improved sustainability and resource management in our office locations.
  • Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders including Finance, Legal, IT and the people team on key projects related to facilities and employee experience.
  • Lead space planning globally for the growing Watershed team.
  • Provide regular reporting and analyses on facilities metrics and budgets to leadership and other key stakeholders.
