About The Position

Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Trident is a privately held, 100 percent USA-owned company with primary seafood processing operations and fleet support in twelve Alaska communities. Trident's global operations produce finished wild Alaska seafood products in 6 countries and its sales teams serve customers in over 50 countries. Trident employs approximately 9,000 people worldwide each year and partners with over 5,400 independent fishermen and crewmembers. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also includes cultured and wild species from a network of trusted sources worldwide. The Office Lead performs a variety of administrative functions in the Alaska plant office in the support of manufacturing operations. Note: Effective 1 December 2024, General Office Lead II residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of $15 per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered.

Requirements

  • Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before.
  • Has worked in a Lead I position in a Trident location in the past year.
  • Ability to learn and use appropriate software applications which includes but is not limited to Excel, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, timekeeping systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with plant office operations including but not limited to answering phones, supporting Trident staff, governmental and plant production reporting, shipping, preparation of payrolls, and a variety of clerical and administrative services.
  • Maintains ongoing contact with fishermen, employees, local vendors, and customers which may vary by location.
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exhibits effective communication and interpersonal skills.
