About The Position

The Operations Manager at Guitar Center is responsible for leading the team to ensure effective merchandise management, including receiving, stocking, and merchandising products according to company standards. This role emphasizes creating a culture of integrity, inclusion, and musical passion while achieving sales and operational goals. The Operations Manager collaborates with the Store Manager and other management team members to drive performance and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in retail or warehouse setting.
• Valid state driver's license and automotive insurance.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5-8 hours.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager and management team to achieve EBITDA, sales, and margin goals.
• Ensure proper staffing levels within the department, including hiring and training operations associates.
• Assist in training all levels of operations associates.
• Oversee shipping and receiving of gear and other store-related items.
• Manage warehouse organization, stocking, and maintenance of the facility.
• Implement loss prevention and safety protocols, inventory management, cash management, and business reporting.
• Conduct weekly standardized signage/pricing audits to ensure compliance with planogram standards.
• Drive sales by acting as the manager in charge when necessary.
• Open and close the store as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
