About The Position

The primary objective for the Forest Management Coordinator (FMC) is to help deliver the NWTF's conservation mission through the programmatic delivery of all elements related to the National Master Stewardship Agreement that was signed in 2023. Specifically, the work of the FMC should result in both maintenance and expansion of conservation delivery. The FMC position will be responsible for implementation and project-level management and will deploy the necessary resources provided to facilitate active forest management and wildfire mitigation work as prioritized by the USFS at the Regional level. The FMC will adhere to the details outlined in the Supplemental Project Agreement (SPA) for the respective Region that tiers to the National Master Stewardship Agreement. The Forest Management Coordinator will report to the Forest Management Manager and work in cooperation and coordination, when needed, with the NWTF District Biologist(s) to help deliver the conservation mission. The position will also coordinate, manage and supervise the timber industry contractors and other contractors associated with the implementation of all projects related to Supplemental Project Agreement (SPA) work within the appropriate Region of the USFS. The FMC will implement work in alignment with the priorities outlined in Executive Order 14225 and Secretarial Memo 1078-006 and ensure that federal and private dollars are used appropriately and effectively.
