About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Relationship Manager for the Financial Sponsors Coverage team within Specialized Industries as a part of Commercial Banking. In this role, you will serve as an expert advisor to middle market private equity firms across the United States, focusing on providing the full suite of commercial and investment banking products and services with an emphasis on debt and equity capital raising and M&A solutions. You will initiate and maintain relationships with key commercial and investment banking partners across the Wells Fargo platform and work closely with senior and junior colleagues across numerous PE firms to identify opportunities to provide capital raising and advisory solutions to their respective portfolio companies. This includes a heavy emphasis on sell-side M&A assignments, portfolio company monetization, leverage financing activities, and related solutions. You will strategically lead the delivery of the full suite of solutions offered by Wells Fargo to Financial Sponsors, meeting the most complex and significant needs across multiple areas of the enterprise that may require an in-depth evaluation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Mid-Corporate Relationship Management experience or equivalent.
  • Commercial and investment banking account relationship management experience within the Financial Sponsor segment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of core banking products and services.
  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 63 and 79 exams or recognized equivalents.
  • Completion of formal credit training program.
  • Demonstrated experience generating new client relationships.
  • Experience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Business Development Representatives in sourcing new Commercial Banking clients.
