About The Position

Otter Products is hiring for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in Fort Collins, CO. This role will be based on a hybrid schedule. The Financial Analyst is part of the Global Finance team which collects and analyzes data to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts. The position will partner with various departments to understand and advise on key business issues and analytical needs and assist in functional budget management. This Otter will utilize their understanding of contracts and financial modeling, including risk assessment, NPV, and ROI maximization, to uncover cost savings opportunities and provide recommendations to improve financial performance. The Financial Analyst breaks down the big picture vision of Otter Products into manageable pieces. Additionally, the Financial Analyst is responsible for surfacing and presenting key business insights and recommendations to the management teams across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required, an MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of financial planning and analysis experience is required with a Bachelor's degree, less than three years of experience is acceptable with an MBA.
  • Advanced experience with Excel required.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, etc.) is preferred.
  • Prior experience with an integrated EPM system and database applications is preferred.
  • Prior support of sales function with pricing and/or promotional analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create insightful analysis, reports, financial models, and presentations regarding the effectiveness, cost/benefit, optimization, and ROI of company initiatives.
  • Advise department leadership, develop budgets, and provide financial analysis to support monthly operational reviews with sales function, and other functions as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities and challenges for the company and recommend financial actions.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support improved financial performance and utilize business models to promote informed decision making across multiple business areas.
  • Build and help automate reporting tools.
  • Lead and assist in projects and initiatives that span multiple business areas.
  • Demonstrate a passion for financial leadership and be a strong business partner by maintaining technical knowledge and support cross-training for peers.
  • Develop thorough understanding of company's data systems and reporting software to provide functional support to various parts of the organization.
  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment.
