The role of a FAIS licensed financial adviser involves executing the six steps of financial planning. This includes making a professional introduction to clients, conducting a Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) in areas such as Investment, Life Insurance, and Estate planning, and making recommendations based on the FNA results. The adviser is responsible for presenting advice under the appropriate license categories and implementing accepted advice through Absa's processes. Regular reviews of client needs are essential to ensure the suitability of implemented solutions and to maintain the adviser’s Fit and Proper status.
