About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our financing team at Family Mitsubishi. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing strategic financial guidance, particularly in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts, along with the ability to analyze financial data to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on automotive financing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation and account processes within a dealership setting.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts, regulatory reporting requirements, and technical accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information to stakeholders.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a bonus; relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) or previous history within dealership financing are a plus.

  • Experience in financial sales (2 years preferred).
  • Ability to commute to Wichita, KS 67207 (preferred).
  • Ability to relocate to Wichita, KS 67207 before starting work (required).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the finance department within the dealership.
  • Prepare and review regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards.
  • Conduct balance sheets to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Perform analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights into financial performance and support strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure the accuracy of practices and adherence to established policies.
  • Lead the finance team in developing goals, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Build relationships and report with financial institutions that work with the dealership and clients.
  • Upsell products to clients during financial meetings.
  • Assist in closing automotive deals by securing financing for clients.
