About the position
Netlify is seeking a Finance Manager to join their Strategic Finance team. The role involves streamlining corporate reporting, managing financial planning tools, and leading industry benchmarking. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining financial planning software, updating financial forecasts, and developing benchmark analyses. They will also be responsible for creating budget tracking reports and driving efficiency metrics. The ideal candidate should have experience in investment banking, PE/VC, and high-growth SaaS, as well as strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial modeling.
Responsibilities
- Streamline corporate reporting
- Manage financial planning tool (Pigment)
- Lead industry benchmarking
- Implement and maintain financial planning software
- Update cash flow, balance sheet, software, and headcount forecasts
- Develop benchmark analyses
- Implement ROI and capital efficiency metrics
- Maintain headcount and software expense forecasting
- Expand role into business partnership responsibilities
- Create and refine budget tracking reports
- Drive efficiency metrics at the segment level
- Have strong working knowledge of GAAP accounting
- Have experience in accounting, financial modeling, and analytics
- Build a 3 statement model
- Have advanced Google Sheets skills
- Have sharp critical thinking skills and complex problem-solving abilities
- Have a mind for process development and process automation
- Have SQL experience or high willingness to learn
- Have corporate FP&A experience (a plus)
- Have a passion for financial software systems
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience, ideally with a blend of investment banking, PE/VC, and high-growth SaaS experience
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP accounting
- A breath of experience in accounting, financial modeling, and analytics, and expertise in creating actionable financial frameworks
- Ability to build a 3 statement model
- Advanced Google Sheets skills, with extensive experience handling large datasets
- Sharp critical thinking skills and complex problem-solving abilities
- A mind for process development and process automation
- SQL experience or high willingness to learn
- Corporate FP&A experience is a plus
- Remote candidates based in North American timezones are welcome
