About The Position

This internship offers hands-on experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and business analytics. You'll work closely with finance and strategy teams, gaining exposure to financial reporting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making in a dynamic business environment. This is a great opportunity to develop analytical skills, gain real-world finance experience, and contribute to impactful projects. Our summer internship applications are open until March 31, 2025. Postings will close then, and interviews will take place in April.

Requirements

  • Rising seniors or new graduates who will be finishing their degree in Spring 2025.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • A self-starter with strong attention to detail who is well organized, can think creatively and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player who exhibits effective interpersonal skills with a collaborative style and has an eagerness to learn.
  • Interest in digital marketing or advertising and eagerness to learn more about Centerfield's industry.
  • Local to Playa Vista HQ and willing to come into the office 3 days a week.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or coursework in FP&A, business analytics, or corporate finance.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in financial forecasting, account reconciliation, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Compile internal daily and monthly KPI reporting to management.
  • Analyze key business metrics, identifying trends and opportunities to optimize financial performance.
  • Prepare financial workbooks for leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of financial reports related to revenue reconciliation and recognition.
  • Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Prepare account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process for revenue, A/R, deferred revenue, and/or other areas as assigned.
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop models and reports that drive business efficiency.
  • Gain exposure to executive-level discussions on financial strategy and planning.
