About The Position

The Field Service Representative role at Eaton involves traveling across Eastern and Central Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, Northern Delaware, and Northern Maryland, with potential travel up to 25%. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety programs, performing electrical service tasks, and collaborating with teams to meet project deadlines. The role offers a guaranteed 40-hour paid week and includes the use of a company vehicle.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of electrical or mechanical industry experience, or completion of accredited trade school with 5 or more years of experience in electrical distribution or control systems.
  • Must be able to work in the US without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of field service experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems.
  • Electrical or General Contractor's License.
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems.
  • Experience performing power quality measurements and troubleshooting analysis.
  • NICET/NETA certification.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and maintain compliance with Eaton's safety program and policy.
  • Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings.
  • Work variable hours, including nights & weekends, and travel within the district/state/region/country based on customer requirements.
  • Drive an Eaton vehicle as part of the job responsibilities.
  • Understand 3-phase power systems and low, medium, and high voltage power distribution equipment.
  • Practice electrical safety measures during all tasks.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks including standing, walking, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel; frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card.
  • Use hand and power tools for equipment assembly.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Explain technical problems and solutions to customers and team members.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team to meet project deadlines.
