About The Position

The Field Service Representative (FSR) at Leidos Defense Systems is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and training on radar systems deployed in the Hawaii region. This role requires frequent travel and the ability to work in various environments, including military bases. The FSR will engage in hands-on technical work while also providing training and support to military personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a minimum of 4 years recent relevant experience, or a High School diploma and a minimum of 12 years recent relevant experience.
  • Must be willing to relocate to or be primarily located in Hawaii.
  • Comfortable and skilled with maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and computer systems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to integrate into a team atmosphere with local military and management.
  • Able to work independently and knows when to ask for help.
  • Must have an active passport and Driver's ID.
  • Must be a US citizen and a resident of Hawaii, or willing to relocate to Hawaii.
  • Must possess (and be able to maintain) a final Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using LINUX based operating systems, including any Linux certifications.
  • Experience with HVAC systems and generators.
  • Experience teaching, training, and troubleshooting with military on equipment.
  • Prior military service, including any OCONUS duties.
  • Current Home of Residence in Hawaii.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and perform regular maintenance on radar systems in Hawaii.
  • Conduct training on radar systems as requested by the customer.
  • Perform hardware and software operational checks.
  • Conduct fault isolation and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Manage shipping and handling of unserviceable parts and equipment back to the USA for repair.
  • Maintain the network infrastructure for user connections.
  • Maintain the software configuration baseline.
  • Audit information assurance of the information systems.
  • Train and support USMC personnel in the setup and teardown of sensor systems.
  • Provide basic maintenance of onboard generators and HVAC systems.
  • Ensure fuel is provided by the local base for the onboard generator.
  • Travel to establish network setups for test events and exercises.
