About The Position
The position involves evaluating and interpreting subsurface field and sampling data, including soil and groundwater, to develop conclusions concerning geologic site conditions. The role includes generating subsurface maps and cross-sections and collaborating with engineering staff on various projects. Responsibilities also include overseeing and assisting with field monitoring and testing of soils, including boring explorations and soil type classification. The candidate will interpret soil, bedrock, and groundwater elevation and quality data, and prepare written documentation and reports related to these activities. Projects may focus on construction, particularly in earthwork and structural foundations.
