About The Position

The Field Construction Technician at Tuff Shed is responsible for delivering high-quality storage buildings and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves warranty repairs, customer interactions, and ensuring the safe delivery of products to various locations. The technician will also maintain the company's vehicles and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Requirements

• General knowledge of the construction industry.
• Basic carpentry, roofing, and painting skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure, working drawings, and speed square.
• Experience operating air compressors, air tools, and basic power tools.
• Proven customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in various forms.
• Effective communication skills at all levels.
• Experience driving a flatbed truck, box truck, or towing trailers.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a 'big box' delivery driver.
• Experience with vehicle inspections.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the safe delivery of Tuff Shed storage buildings to various locations.
• Perform customer service warranty repair tasks on-site effectively and courteously.
• Provide feedback to management regarding warranty issues and completion concerns.
• Deliver excellent customer service to current and prospective customers.
• Assist with off-site special events such as Home Shows.
• Maintain Home Depot displays and marketing materials.
• Inform management of service and maintenance requirements for Tuff Shed vehicles.
• Report defective or worn tools to management in a timely manner.
• Ensure the vehicle's GPS device remains connected and operable.
