About The Position

As a Field Applications Engineering Intern at Melexis, you'll develop technical expertise in Melexis semiconductor products to demonstrate their capability and improve the design-in experience for customers worldwide. Specifically, you will: Design, assemble, and write embedded and/or GUI software for product demos for tradeshows and tech days. Support the development of product line software tools and documentation, and identify areas for improvement. Join customer meetings to identify technical requirements and sales opportunities for Melexis. Create product tutorials and training videos. Support with additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Bachelor or Master Degree program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Exposure to the semiconductor industry and/or Automotive Tier 1 is a plus.
• Understanding of integrated circuit functions at the block level.
• Experience with Python and embedded C is preferred.
• Knowledge of assembly (any type), BASIC, and/or Verilog is a plus.
• Experience with mechanical CAD and PCB design is preferred.
• Fast learner.
• Attentive to detail.
• Fluent in English for written and verbal communication.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Willing to work in-office in Novi, MI.
