About The Position

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine physician who is interested in education to join a successful, well-established group of physicians and advanced practice providers in the beautiful northwest corner of Connecticut. The position involves being a faculty preceptor for family medicine residents one half day per week, with increasing opportunity for precepting over time. The role is focused on outpatient clinical practice only, including adults, pediatrics, and gender-affirming care, with a schedule of Monday through Friday and no weekends. Full-time hospitalist coverage at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is included, and a per diem hospitalist role is a possibility for interested applicants. The candidate will join 3 family physicians and one advanced practice provider in a culture of supportive administration and collaborative clinical care. There is also an opportunity to precept medical students for interested applicants.

Requirements

• Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license (or eligible).
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a faculty preceptor for family medicine residents one half day per week.
• Engage in outpatient clinical practice including adults, pediatrics, and gender-affirming care.
• Provide full-time hospitalist coverage at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
• Participate in community outreach and health professions education.
• Precept medical students for interested applicants.
