About The Position

The Facility Manager is responsible for managing emergency support procedures and working with contract management related to building infrastructure and security. This role involves managing and implementing the relocation and transfer of assets, including furniture, offices, computer equipment, and office machines. The Facility Manager will also handle space planning, allocation, and furniture specifications, as well as manage equipment, conference rooms, and office supplies.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a related field.
  • Five years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage projects.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle a complex varied workload.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.
  • Ensures emergency floor wardens are properly trained on emergency processes and procedures.
  • Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees.
  • Collaborates with building management to ensure basic facilities, such as water, air conditioning, and heating, are well maintained.
  • Manages facilities planning and space allocation.
  • Oversees and ensures that office moves are coordinated and executed timely.
  • Works with outside vendors on cost estimates for moves and equipment.
  • Oversees and maintains the Atlanta Support Center's badge system.
  • Maintains office supply stock levels within budget.
  • Oversees and coordinates office event setups and breakdowns.
