About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, operations, and cleanliness of the facility's buildings, grounds, and vehicles. This role involves managing daily maintenance activities, supervising the Facility Maintenance Team, coordinating vendor services, and ensuring the efficient operation of building systems, ground support equipment (GSE), and all vehicles. The Facility Maintenance Manager is also responsible for Fuel Farm oversight and implementing cost-effective strategies to optimize expenses while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree Facility Management or related degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training in plumbing, electrical, carpentry or general facility maintenance preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience managing maintenance operations in a mid-size facility
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
  • Experience with facility management software and budgeting tools a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily building maintenance tasks, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC systems, boiler, communications installations, and other work as necessary to ensure structural integrity and operational efficiency
  • Manage custodial staff, including scheduling and assigning responsibilities
  • Monitor and address maintenance requests through the Helpdesk Ticket system, prioritizing urgent needs
  • Plan and manage facility renovations, improvement initiatives, and/or special projects, ensuring upgrades modernize infrastructure and enhance operational efficiency
  • Track and analyze facility maintenance costs to enhance efficiency and collaborate with the Sr. Manager on facility maintenance budgeting efforts
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential issues and ensure tasks are completed on schedule
  • Supervise and manage routine maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, lighting and building exterior
  • Manage landscaping and groundskeeping activities to ensure the facility's exterior remains attractive, well-maintained, and safe for employees and visitors
  • Oversee the maintenance, inspections and repair of aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all company-owned vehicles
  • Oversee and supervise the quality of work of the team to ensure all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively
  • Ensure that all machinery, equipment, and facility components are properly maintained to support efficient production and operations
  • Relocate machinery as needed, ensuring proper securing and functionality
  • Maintain Fuel Farm operations, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all sidewalks, taxiways, and parking lots are kept clear of snow/ice during inclement weather to ensure the safety of all employees
  • Provide assistance, as needed, to the Sr. Safety & Environmental Compliance Manager in support of the Hazardous Waste Program and Stormwater Plan
  • Maintain a clean, safe and compliant working environment in accordance with company standards
  • Complete initial/recurrent training requirements in a timely manner
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
