About The Position

The Facilities Project Manager at Rice University is responsible for managing all aspects of new construction and renovation projects on campus. Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction.
  • AIA member or Professional Engineer certification.
  • Experience with office and construction productivity software (Procore, PlanGrid, etc.).
  • Advanced management degree.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of new construction and renovation projects.
  • Prepare budget estimates and reports.
  • Prepare project and contract documents.
  • Oversee outside design professionals and their selection.
  • Manage the contractor selection process.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to campus customers and administration.
  • Prepare reports for the Capital Governance Committee and Rice Board of Trustees.
  • Provide oversight and coordination of multiple projects in various phases concurrently.
  • Assist with defining design criteria and developing design concepts for all University projects.
  • Lead and direct projects requiring high levels of functional integration.
  • Investigate installation failures and recommend corrections.
  • Participate in developing/updating project management procedures and standards.
