About The Position

Sodexo Energy and Resource is seeking a Facilities/Engineering Operations Manager 2 to join our team supporting one of our high-profile Energy Sector clients in Richmond, CA. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience managing complex building systems such as chillers, building automation systems (BAS), fire/life safety, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) infrastructure. Requirements

  • experience within refineries and engineering preferred
  • a proven track record of successful Facilities Management leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments
  • technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape, and energy management
  • demonstrated business and financial acumen
  • exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills
  • strong Leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate engineering operations, including planning, scheduling, and execution of projects
  • Support the Director of Facilities in managing site infrastructure, maintenance, and capital improvement projects
  • Manage landscaping contractors on engineering-related projects, ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are met.
  • Work closely with vendors and subcontractors to align project goals, resolve issues, and maintain quality standards
  • Manage and maintain the work order system, ensuring timely response, tracking, and resolution of service requests
  • Update and maintain various reports related to operations, maintenance, project status, and performance metrics
