About The Position

The Facilities Control Systems Operator at MGM Grand serves as the first point of contact for maintenance and repair calls, ensuring efficient operations by dispatching engineers and managing technical tasks. This role is crucial in enhancing the guest experience by addressing their unique needs and creating memorable moments during their stay.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience handling multi-line phone systems or radios.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm panels and life safety systems, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to alarms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay information clearly and accurately across teams.
• Ability to remain organized and focused, especially in emergency situations, ensuring accurate documentation and task completion.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls related to maintenance and repairs for both on-property and off-site locations.
• Input call details into the computer system for accurate tracking.
• Assign work orders to Engineering team members based on request details.
• Monitor life safety and fire alarm systems, identify alarm locations, and dispatch Engineering personnel to address the situation.
• Record employee call-ins and forward them to the appropriate staff or departments.
• Maintain a detailed log of all activities and tasks performed throughout the day.
• Ensure accurate documentation of time and actions during emergency situations.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
