About The Position

The Fabricator/Welder position at Aerotek involves managing the entire fabrication process, including creating docks, lifts, and custom parts for various public buildings. The role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of interpreting blueprints and producing high-quality steel and aluminum structures.

Requirements

• Blueprint reading experience.
• Layout experience.
• Welding experience (Certified).
• General production experience.
• Comfortable working in a shop environment.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of AISC standards.
• Experience with metal fabrication and welding.
• Proficiency with Mig welding.
• Experience in aluminum fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to layout and fabricate steel beams, columns, stairs, and railings.
• Perform certified welding with precision.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining production quotas.
• Possess extensive knowledge of metal and steel fabrication.
• Maintain production standards and quantities.
• Utilize knowledge of AISC standards, preferred but not required.
• Perform steel and aluminum welding.
• Operate typical industry equipment including Iron Worker, Plasma, Torch, Welding Equipment, Forklift, and Hand Tools.
