About The Position

Seeking a topnotch avionics software engineer who is ready to work as part of a team of experienced engineers. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as candidate will work closely with USAF and F-16 senior leaders, higher headquarters staff, and other key stakeholders associated with USAF modernization programs.

Requirements

• Master's Degree and 12 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD.
• OR, BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD.
• Recommend expertise in U.S. military aircraft OFP development, including translating and re-hosting programs from older to newer computer languages and computer processors.
• Recommend expertise in using C++ computer language.

Responsibilities

• Supporting development of OFP software for a major F-16 upgrade program that incorporates complex avionics upgrades that will develop new mission computers, display processors, weapons, and AESA radar.
• Supporting the engineering and technical design, development, integration, verification, qualification for airworthiness certification, and fielding of F-16 software including, but not limited to, OFP software, radar system software, display processor software, and other software as defined in, or derived from, program requirements.
• Supporting the implementation of OFP updates as defined in F-16 OI 63-25 OFP Development.
• Assisting to monitor and assess prime contractor development of a new Systems Integration Lab (SIL).
• Supporting Cockpit Review Team (CRT) meetings.
• Supporting the resolution of Software Program Anomaly Reports (SPAR).
• Supporting the definition and development of OFP software technical tasks to be completed for inclusion in the overall program schedule.
