About The Position

The Extra Help Supply Services Specialist position at the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) is a seasonal role focused on managing inventory and supply needs for various divisions within the organization. This role involves receiving, storing, and organizing supplies, as well as assisting with equipment repairs and supporting the communications section. The position is designed for individuals with entry-level experience in inventory control and requires a valid driver's license.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade.
  • Two (2) years of experience performing inventory work including maintenance of computer-based inventory systems.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Class C California driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with OCFA staff to determine specific purchasing needs and specifications.
  • Order, receive, store, and manage the inventory of supplies for various Authority divisions and fire stations.
  • Count, restock, organize, and label supplies.
  • Support communications section help desk staff.
  • Work with vendors to repair faulty equipment.
  • Maintain computerized inventory management system for OCFA staff.
  • Assist Help Desk staff with programming pagers, radios, modems, and other electronic equipment for vehicles.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
