About The Position

The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs' corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm's distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firm's relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policy makers, and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firm's evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firm's social and sustainability agendas. Firmwide Strategy ("FWS") works with the Executive Office and senior business leadership to set and execute key strategic priorities for the firm. On behalf of the entire firm, FWS: * Leads strategic transactions including mergers & acquisitions, divestments, strategic investments, and partnerships * Develops, evaluates, and executes strategic plans for new and existing businesses and growth initiatives. The role will provide exposure to the breadth and complexity of activities at a global financial firm with multiple market-leading businesses, and will require sustained interaction with senior business and firm leadership. In this role, the individual will partner with the various businesses at Goldman Sachs to: * Support strategic M&A and divestments through all phases of the deal lifecycle (target identification, due diligence, M&A modeling, deal management) * Negotiate and execute strategic investments in the fintech and financial services eco-system * Develop and execute business plans for new and existing strategic organic initiatives for the firm. FWS has a proven track record as a gateway to a number of attractive career paths. Past team members were promoted to leadership positions within the team, advanced to investing, management, and business strategy positions inside and outside Goldman Sachs, and in some cases transitioned to strategy, investing and management roles beyond financial services.
