About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Event Staff to join our team. As an Event Staff Employee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of events by providing outstanding service and support to event attendees, organizers, and vendors. Your responsibilities will vary depending on the nature and scale of the event, but your commitment to creating a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants will be constant.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certification (preferred).
  • Minimum one year of similar experience preferred.
  • Must have customer service experience.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
  • Patience for dealing with busy crowds.
  • Ability to work independently in an unsupervised environment.
  • Skill in courteous communication with the public.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup and tear down of event spaces, including arranging furniture, setting up stages, and installing equipment.
  • Greet and direct guests as they arrive at the event, providing information and answering questions about the event, schedule, and venue.
  • Monitor event areas to ensure safety and compliance with venue regulations, managing crowd flow and preventing overcrowding.
  • Assist with the coordination of event activities, such as workshops, presentations, and performances.
  • Support vendors and exhibitors with their needs, ensuring they have everything required for a successful event.
  • Keep event areas clean and tidy throughout the event, managing waste properly and maintaining facilities.
  • Provide basic technical support for audio-visual equipment and liaise with technical staff to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Be prepared to respond to emergencies, following established protocols and assisting in evacuations if necessary.
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues in a professional and courteous manner.
