The Event Server at Beach Plum Farm is responsible for serving food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner. The role includes various duties such as clearing tables, returning equipment to their respective areas, and ensuring the safety of storage areas by transporting equipment properly. The Event Server must review the Banquet Event Order (BEO) prior to each event to understand timelines and event needs. Additionally, the server is responsible for handling all equipment and linens, attending to spills and breakage immediately, and gathering necessary equipment for functions as part of opening side work. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is also required.
