About The Position

The Entry Level Natural Resource/Marine Scientist position at AECOM involves conducting fieldwork related to sediment and water quality sampling, infrastructure and wetland mapping, and data analysis. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resource Management, Marine Biology, Ecology, Wetland Science, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a larger team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous field biology/on-water sampling and survey experience.
• Experience with GIS platforms and map-making skills.
• Familiarity with basic computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with statistics, GPS, ArcGIS, or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Perform field work including sediment and water quality sampling, with a focus on boat-based sampling.
• Conduct infrastructure and wetland mapping using GPS technology.
• Compile and analyze field data, assisting in the preparation of work plans and technical reports.
• Engage in data presentation using GIS tools.
• Participate in routine tasks to gain experience with methods and practices in the field.
