About The Position

The position involves performing routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical technical functions and activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, specialized test equipment, tools, and test fixtures. The technician may test and troubleshoot system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems, perform new system and NPI installations, and field upgrades. The role requires working from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or plans to perform routine testing and troubleshooting. Additionally, the technician compiles logbooks and test procedures documentation utilizing good writing skills and may perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum, and process testing on AMAT platforms to Engineering and Manufacturing documentation and specifications. Observing all safety standards and maintaining a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment is crucial. The technician must attend required health and safety training and follow safety and security policies, procedures, and practices. The role also involves becoming familiar with current manufacturing and/or engineering processes and assisting in the correction of problems. The position may require rework as a result of testing and generating Quality Notifications.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to perform a variety of activities using analytical skills and scientific methods.
  • Good understanding of team integration with others.
  • Ability to recognize and solve typical problems in own work area without supervisory approval.

Responsibilities
