Engineering Manager, Core Performance

The job overview for this role is to lead the Core Performance team at Asana in making their web application fast and efficient. The team focuses on performance improvements and investigations, as well as empowering other teams within Asana to optimize their products and systems. • Lead the charge in making Asana's web product fast and improving the speed of Asana's product teams
• Manage and grow a team of 3-5 engineers working on frameworks, processes, and culture
• Support and coach engineers in their technical and professional development
• Partner with product managers, Asana product, frameworks, and infrastructure teams to identify and execute opportunities for improving Asana's speed
• Contribute to organizational health initiatives outside of the team, on both engineering team and Asana-wide levels

• 2+ years of engineering management experience
• 6+ years of experience working in software engineering
• 1+ years of experience as a Technical Lead
• Experience managing technical initiatives aimed towards web performance or developer productivity
• Ability to drive large initiatives spanning across multiple teams
• Strong collaboration and cross-functional skills
• Focus on maximizing impact for yourself and your team
