Engineering Manager - Back-office Applications

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Manager to lead our Backend Engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining internal back-office applications and integrations. As the team Manager, you will drive technical excellence, ensure the delivery of high-quality software, and foster a collaborative environment. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to enable efficient development cycles. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, successful leadership experience, and a genuine passion for building reliable software solutions.

• Lead and manage a small team of talented backend engineers working on the development and maintenance of internal back-office applications and integrations
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to the team, fostering their growth and professional development
• Actively participate in hands-on coding and technical contributions, leveraging expertise in backend engineering to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure successful delivery and alignment with business objectives
• Help the team drive the design, development, and maintenance of features for efficient management of workspaces, billing configurations, data operations, contract provisioning automation, and integrations with internal systems
• Automate currently manual processing and contribute to improving operational efficiency
• Ensure back-office applications and integrations meet high standards of performance, reliability, security, and scalability
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and drive their adoption within the team to enhance the platform
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing, open communication, and continuous improvement

Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams and delivering successful projects on time

Previous experience as a backend engineer

Experience or willingness to learn Ruby on Rails

Familiarity with database management systems, particularly with Postgres

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Passion for delivering high-quality software solutions and a commitment to technical excellence

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Fluent in English, both written and verbal

Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (Nice to Have)

Experience with AWS and Kubernetes (Nice to Have)

Prior exposure to back-office applications and integrations (Nice to Have)

Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and programming languages (Nice to Have)
